Visitors can physically experience the music, moving around the lamps to explore the layered arrangements. The lampshades dazzle and glow in synch with the sounds they play.
Street Light Orchestra makes classical music accessible and convivial. It can deliver art to neighbourhoods that are not used to hosting cultural events, evoking pride in one’s streets and bringing visitors and media to otherwise ignored city areas.
A series of classical pieces have been specifically recorded for this installation by the world-touring OSR, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, under the baton of conductor Philippe Béran.
